You’ve got some random dude playing piano, and Dexter’s auto tuned voice, yet this is supposed to be a personal song? All of these professionals didn’t realize that? So why drown it in auto tune? An emotional song such as this suffers immensely when you take away the human element.
The song is in a register that is not difficult to sing. The auto-tune is atrocious, and I don’t understand how that even got okayed, or was even necessary in the first place. He played it live night after night yet they had to hire someone to play it in the studio for them? Weird.
